Improvement to Suunto D5 mobile notification functionality

Enhancement:

• After the update Suunto D5 can manage special notifications that earlier caused a malfunction and an error message on the screen. The fix helps especially languages like Thai and Swahili, however, we strongly encourage all users to install the update despite the language used. This release does not affect dive functionality.

Notification support

• By pairing your Suunto D5 with Suunto app on your mobile you can receive notifications from your applications such as in-coming calls and messages.
• When a notification arrives, a pop-up appears on the watch face.
• You can enable and disable notifications in your device settings.
• Stay connected with the diving community and with the non-diving life of yours.

New easy way to keep your dive computer up to date

• Software updates will hereby be available via SuuntoLink. SuuntoLink is a desktop software available for OS and Windows that keeps your device software up to date.
• The latest software will also be available to download in DM5.

Dive location in Suunto app

• Suunto app works as a digital logbook for your dives. Transfer your dive logs easily over Bluetooth to your mobile after diving.
• Now you can enrich your diving adventures even more by adding your dive location to your dive log data either by finding existing ones or creating your own.

Maintenance improvements

This release also includes enhancements to improve device performance, usability and no-fly time calculations.
